The Sistahood and Brothahood websites are intended as a place where people can share information, ideas, and feedback about what we as individuals, as small groups, or as a collective can do to improve our own lives, our local communities, and ultimately the world. Hopefully the site will make information more accessible to those who would like to make a difference but have no idea where to begin, and provide a platform for those already making a difference to share their experiences and get others involved. Here, you'll be able to find out about some of the things you can do to start getting involved in changing things. If you have a specific community activity you've been wanting to get involved in, hopefully you'll find some information here about how to get involved. And more importantly, hopefully you'll find like-minded individuals who'd like to get involved! Or maybe you'll even find someone who's already doing it, and you can get involved in their project. If you discover that we don't have information on the things you want to know about, or there's a cause you're passionate about which isn't mentioned on our site, please do e-mail us at changetheworld@thesistahood.co.uk and check out our 'change the world' pages. Please also e-mail us at the same address if you would like us to consider adding a link to your own website on the sistahood websites. We intend to add new information regularly and only with peoples input can we ensure we keep up to date with information about all the various things we can be doing to improve our communities. The forums are a great way to share information and feedback, test out and develop ideas, get support for your initiatives and/or events, and participate in our own Sistahood* ChangeTheWorld events, projects and services. They're also a place where you can just have a joke and a laugh, seek general advice, share experiences and discuss anything else you want! The Sistahood* is not here to judge, preach, or impose our views on anyone. We're simply here to share information and ideas, and help people who want to get involved to find accessible ways of doing so. Whilst the Sistahood may take an official position on a number of issues, we welcome constructive debate and alternative views and opinions, and are very much in favour of free speech. However, where users of the site hold views or advocate actions or behaviours which go against the core values of the Sistahood*, we reserve the right to remove such content from our site and forums unless it is relevant in the context of constructive debate.
